Public health is what society does, collectively, to assure the conditions in which people can be healthy. In fact, the quality of your education, your housing, your community and environment, your employment and your transportation influence health more than genetics. People cannot live healthy if they don’t have access to healthy food, safe places to play and exercise, walk and bike.
